This story starts in the year 325 of the universal calendar. The universe, in the definition we all know, is composed of numerous races and populations. They are dispersed on myriad planets throughout galaxies. The space age has been reached by several planets, and they started the conquest of the universe. Because of this, many intergalactic empires have been created. To face so many opponents, the empires started to group themselves into alliances.
We'll follow what becomes of Schlangan, commander of the Ragnarok alliance. He is a strange snake humanoid, ruling his empire from the planet Releeshan. Being quite quiet until now, his usual pace will be set upside down due to extraordinary forces far superior to him, whether they are god-level of not. By assembling a team of fighters, Schlangan will have to face what destiny has stored for him. Will he be able to reach the levels of gods and stronger beings ? Only the future can tell us...
'Schlangan et la fine équipe' is a 2D RPG made with the software RPG Maker MV. The current version is 4.68, and completing all the current missions takes around 80 hours play for now. In addition, I created a launcher using Microsoft Visual Studio, since the game is based on patches which I release periodically.
Gameplay :
The story takes place in the whole univers. But unlike No Man's Sky, I don't plan to make the whole universe playable. Instead of that, I created a mission system. Primary missions are used to follow the main story, while secondary missions bring side details on the universe and are used to train the characters. After a while, a semi-open exploration world will be unlocked, where new content will be added little by little, with new versions.Any unlocked character may be played during a secondary mission, while there is no choice for primary missions. The open exploration world will be also restricted in terms of available characters. That's why it's really recommended to train all characters.
The main system follows the RPG classic systems, where characters gain experience while winning fights. They gain levels and increase automatically their stats. However, there is no real level limit. Two major differences also exist compared to "standard" RPGs. Firstly, there is no equipment in the game. The stats won't improve by changing items. Secondly, the stats may completely change during primary missions. For example, the characters will train in the story and have all their stats and skills upgraded at a result. Because of this, the level of a character don't necessarily reflect its strength. Some Lvl. 30 characters might be stronger than other Lvl. 80 characters, for instance.
The fight system is using a side view, paused activated time battle. Doing so, the fastest character will act more often. The ATB pauses during command selections, to let you time to think, especially for characters like Schlangan who have a tremendous amount of skills. The game language may be switched between French and English.
The enemies are visible on the map. They will come towards you at different speeds once you're in their range, and will be sometimes avoidable, depending on the situation. There is no respawn for the enemies, except on the open world. Secondary missions will also have a "fully complete" mode if you beat all the enemies.

Here is the link of the launcher. Once downloaded, you will be able to download the game. The first chapter takes 660 MB, while the second chapter 810 MB, the third chapter 770 MB and the fourth chapter 810 MB. All chapters can be downloaded separately and played in any order. There is no need for an Internet connection to play, it is only required for patches. The launcher will indicate when a new version is available and offer you to download the corresponding patch.
If the launcher refuses to start, it might be because you are lacking .NET Framework dependencies. In that case, download the launcher installer below, which will provide the missing DLLs.
